Hiking Trail Ease
- My Rating: This is not a trail I would recommend to new hikers.
- My Comments: This trail is hard to follow since there are many intersecting routes. I recommend using an app like AllTrails to help you stay on the correct trail. There are several steep areas to hike up and down sometimes on loose gravel. Like many other trails in the desert there is no shade along the trail. All that being said, the two arches along the trail are beautiful. There are also many other rock formations that make interesting backgrounds for photos.
Boudoir Photography Potential
- Number of Shoot Locations: There are two beautiful natural arches on the trail that give the trail its name. These are both fantastic places to get photos. and they offer a great vantage point so you can see other hikers on the trail with plenty of time to cover up if needed before they get to you. There is also a cave along the trail that could make for an interesting location, but last I checked there was a vulture living there.
- When to go: I tend to go on the weekends and this place is never very busy. With the difficulty and the vantage point from the main attractions, you likely won’t see anyone else out there and if you do you have plenty of time to cover up if needed.
