Every now and then, a photo shoot lines up just right — the light, the location, the model, the energy. That’s exactly what happened when I had the chance to work with Valyssa at White Sands National Park in celebration of the upcoming 4th of July.
We headed out to the dunes with the intention of capturing something bold, beautiful, and patriotic. With an American flag in hand, we timed our session around golden hour — that magical stretch of sunlight when everything glows and shadows fall just right. The soft white sand lit up in tones of gold and blush, creating the perfect canvas for our vision.
About the Model: Valyssa
Working with Valyssa was an absolute privilege. She brings a rare combination of confidence, elegance, and instinct to her work. Her ability to flow pose made the shoot smooth and seamless — we moved from idea to idea without ever having to over-direct. Every frame captured something powerful.
